Parclick buys YesWePark and Parkings de Paris

Last October  Parclickthe Spanish company specialising in online parking reservations, has acquired the French company ParkingsdeParisthe largest car park reservation centre in the city of Paris. This made it one of the European leaders in the online parking booking sector.

And this week we learned of Parclick's second purchase in less than 6 months, YesWePark. YesWePark is a Catalan company specialising in the design of hourly parking packages, tailor-made to be marketed as part of a leisure experience, such as a concert or a visit to the theatre.

Parclick aims to be the European player of reference in the medium term and is therefore constantly monitoring its competitors and the new business models that are appearing on the market.

According to Luis Paris, Co-founder and CEO of Parclick: "The incorporation of YesWePark, one of the most interesting online parking operators in the Spanish market, allows Parclick not only to increase its offer but also to diversify it to reach a new type of public". He adds: "Both users and partners were looking for an affordable parking space rental service that they could integrate into their leisure offer. Now, thanks to the acquisition of YesWePark, Parclick can respond to this demand".

Percentile purchase Kirondo

In March last year, Percentile, second-hand clothing e-commerce, I buy Kirondo its German competitor.

The acquisition of Kirondo.de, which is the "leader" in Germany in this sector, allowed Percentil to position itself as the leading company in three of Europe's largest markets (Spain, France and Germany) in the online sale and purchase of nearly new clothes.

"Percentil has also raised several rounds of funding, which has allowed it to grow and expand its business model, the last round it received was a €3M round in September 2015 of this year," says Diego Gutierrez of Percentil. Abra-Invest.

Advantages of growth through acquisitions

Although it is commonly thought that growth through acquisitions is for mature markets, acquisitions are also a good option if we want to grow and offer more innovative solutions to our customers, especially in the technology sector.

On the one hand, acquisitions allow us to acquire technologies that we cannot develop and that can have a lot of potential in our business model. We have witnessed large companies such as Google or Amazon in recent years have been on the hunt for specific technology companies that they have been incorporating into their business, such as Google's purchase of Quest Visual, a pioneer in augmented reality thanks to its Word Lens Translator application.

In addition, according to Luis París, CEO of Parclick, the main advantage of growing through acquisitions is that it grows much fasterIn this way, you can reach new customers more quickly and offer solutions that are better suited to their needs. When you raise a round with a clear objective, a thousand things can happen until you reach that objective, but when you grow through acquisitions, you are actually buying turnover and market share.

However, he also states that inorganic growth is not without risk and the main challenge he faces is how to integrate between two companies.those and that both businesses will continue to grow.

for M&A
Advanced data anlytics is a weapon". Intelfin is an artificial intelligence tool we use for investing and creating value in SMEs through competitive analytics and the enterprise environment.

IntelFin consists of a cognitive system, which, through the application of advanced analytical technologies, facilitates the automation of investment and financing decisions in the field of non-listed companies and especially SMEs in high-growth sectors.

The information related to these companies is characterized by their lack of transparency and heterogeneity; thus, it is necessary to develop an advanced analysis which is as much predictive as prescriptive and is developed in a natural language custom, suitable to obtain greater clarity and knowledge of the investment scope.

The IntelFin system focuses especially on analyzing the variables that define and influence the competitive environment of a sector and the positioning of a company, analyzing their influence on future value creation. Therefore, IntelFin supports strategic decision-making to senior management by resolving questions such as:

¿What are my competitors' priorities, strategies and expansion plans? Who's my competition? Which competitor is most likely to grow at a higher rate?
Which areas of activity/business models will receive the most investment? Which sectors are most attractive to investors?
Which companies are going to experience the most growth in the near future? Which companies are most likely to receive investment or be acquired?
