GMV, growth through acquisitions

GMV invests in Spain's space technology company PLD Space

In 2015 GMV posted a turnover of €123M, 10% more than in 2014, and in 2016 the Computerworld ranking placed it as the 33rd technology company. The company's growth is partly due to its acquisition policy, which is allowing it to grow both in new geographic markets and to reinforce the sectors in which it operates. In Spain, for example, in 2011 it bought the security and access control area of Bioingeniería Aragonesa (SABIA), with the aim of reinforcing and complementing its security and access control business. In the US it has also made several acquisitions, such as the purchase in 2015 of the US company Syncromatics, with the aim of consolidating its position in the US market, which GMV considers to be a priority. Syncromatics provides intelligent transport system solutions. Also in 2016, GMV bought the US company Mobilitat Works, which operates in the same sector.
