A continuación mostraremos algunos de las operaciones conocidas de Management Buy Out de los últimos años. Las ventas MBO suelen tener un componente interesante ya que visto desde el exterior se nota muy poco el cambio por el cual ha pasado la empresa que se encuentra en esta situación.

Uninvest

Dos directivos de la gestora de capital riesgo Uninvest adquirieron en 2015 mediante una operación MBO el 33% de la sociedad, mientras que el fondo suizo Springwater compró el 66% restante, dando salida a las tres universidades propietarias.

Esta operación fue necesaria para que la gestora pudiera captar fondos públicos del ICO, que había limitado su inversión a gestoras y fondos con mayoría de capital privado.

Ventas MBO: LetsBonus

In 2015 LetsBonus anunció que su equipo directivo había completado una operación de Management Buy Out por la cual el consejero delegado de la compañía, Juan Luis Rico, y el responsable financiero, Joan Pina, adquirieron los activos de la empresa en España, Portugal, Italia y Chile, que estaban en manos del grupo LivingSocial, compañía participada en un 31% por Amazon.

Carlyle

Carlyle compró a Telvent GIT el 100% de Telvent Global Services (TGS), su filial de gestión de centros de datos e infraestructuras tecnológicas, en un MBO realizado junto al equipo gestor de la compañía. El fondo estadounidense realizó la compra a través de Carlyle Europe Technology Partners III, su fondo especializado en telecomunicaciones y tecnología en Europa.
