Captio is a leading technology platform in Spain for managing travel and business expenses. Through an app, employees can digitise their tickets with a simple photo, which processes this data automatically thanks to the image recognition technology developed by this company that employs 50 people.

You are looking for investment How much liquidity is there in the market?

According to the Ascri report "2016 Venture Capital & Private Equity in Spain", Spanish fundrasing by private entities experienced a certain slowdown compared to 2014, reaching a figure of €1,481M. If we add to this figure the resources raised by public entities and the application of international resources when making their investments, the total amount of funds raised was €3,359M. Although this figure is considerably lower than in 2014, it is considerably higher than the funds raised during the crisis period.

The MAB, a means to close acquisitions?

Mab companies have started the new year with growth. Some, such as Eurona Wireless, have carried out capital increases with the aim of financing acquisitions, others, such as Agile Content, have announced the purchase of companies. Inkemia has also increased its shareholdings in its group companies through capital increases.

In addition, a private equity fund, Qualitas Equity Partners, has also seen an opportunity in the food sector and has invested in Vintae.

Helios buys Quirón What other operations have there been in the hospital sector?

The German group Fresenius Helios, after the acquisition of Quirón, the Spanish leader in private hospitals, will control around 10% of the private hospital network in Spain. Some 43 hospitals, with annual sales of around €2.3 billion.
