The Spanish company OrbitalAds, which has developed a solution to optimise automatically and in real time any SEM campaign in Google Adwords.

In December, it sold part of its shareholding to the European Commission for €3m.

This is the first time that the European institution has become a partner in a group of European companies.

Europe seeks to ensure that the companies in which it invests have the most resources and generate quality employment.

In this way, talent can be retained within the European Economic Community.


OrbitalAds is a Spanish company that seeks to transform the world of online advertising through automation..


It uses the artificial intelligence and machine learning to discover new keywords and improve the performance of your search campaigns.

To achieve this, it has developed a solution capable of optimising automatically and in real time any SEM campaign developed in Google Adwords.


In order to continue its growth and that of its product, this December OrbitalAds sold part of its shareholding in the company for 3M€ to the European Commission with its programme ENHorizon2020.

From now on, the EC becomes a partner of the start-up, which will count on this support to carry out a project that will last two years.

The company has been recognised for its capacity to innovate, its value proposition and the attraction of talent it will generate within the EU.

The operation is carried out through EIC Fund from European Investment Bank.

The most significant aspect of this recognition is that the European Union is investing in the riskiest part, in innovation.


With this money, OrbitalAds will upgrade its software and create a PaaS (Platform as a Service) platform.

It will also adapt all the activities carried out so far in Google Ads to other search engines such as Amazon, Facebook or Yahoo.

This will expand the size of the addressable market to EUR 7 trillion.


This business plan will generate new skilled jobs.

Its business plan reflects an increase in staff from 30 employees to almost 150 by the end of 2024.

It is going to need great data scientists and developers, national and European, to be able to develop the ambitious project that lies ahead.

All this, without neglecting the business, marketing and sales team, in order to market the product.
