Boosting renewable energy: Cerberus and Repsol

Despite the fact that Spain has slowed down investment in renewables due to the energy reform, we still see movement in the sector. This week, Cerberus, one of the venture capital is has chosen a Spanish company, Renovalia Energy. Repsol has also announced the finalists of its incubation programme.

Cerberus ultima la  compra Renovalia Energy

Cerberus, el prívate equity americano, que opera en todo el mundo,  ha comprado Renovalia Energy, división de renovables de la compañía de la familia Ortega, anteriores propietarios de los quesos Forlasa. 

Renovalia Energy está presente en España, Hungría, Rumania, México y Chile, tiene una capacidad instalada de generación renovable de 456,16 Mw de potencia.

Fundación Repsol anuncia sus 15 proyectos seleccionados para su 4 convocatoria.

La fundación Repsol ha anunciado los 15 proyectos energéticos finalistas para su 4   convocatoria del Fondo de Emprendedores.

El próximo 10 de septiembre se anunciarán los proyectos e ideas que, entre los 15 finalistas, pasarán a ser incubados por el Fondo de Emprendedores, y  se abrirá la quinta convocatoria, cuyo plazo finalizará el 15 de noviembre

Los proyectos seleccionados recibirán hasta €288.000 de financiación durante un máximo de dos años, y recibirán por otro lado €24.000 durante un año para consolidar su maduración. 

Además como novedad en esta edición,  los proyectos han participado en un proceso de preincubación de dos meses en el cual las propuestas seleccionadas han contado con asesoramiento de expertos y han recibido formación específica en planificación de proyectos, comunicación y elaboración de una presentación para inversores.

Biomival: turbina de diseño bioinspirado para producir energía a partir de las olas del mar

Biostarter: cultivos biológicos para optimizar las plantas de tratamiento de residuos

Eficonsumption: sistema hardware-software para la optimización del consumo eléctrico

Energy Harvesting: generación de electricidad con celdas Peltier a partir de calor residual

Kerionics: membranas cerámicas para generación de oxígeno en usos industriales

Pyroex: obtención de biocombustibles a partir de residuos grasos

R3Fiber: reciclado de palas de aerogeneradores

WALL-B: separación  de plásticos negros para la valorización energética de residuos industriales 

Sales solares: nuevas formulaciones de sales para el almacenamiento de energía en plantas termosolares

Xerolutions: materiales orgánicos nanoporosos optimizados para supercondensadores
