Fever is a Spanish company, based in New York and linked to the entertainment and digital content sector, which has been able to raise 35M$. This is one of the largest rounds closed by a national start-up so far this year.

Fever is dedicated to the development of a mobile application that informs users of upcoming events in their cities based on their preferences. and that is also exploiting a line of business called Fever Originalswhich actively uses the data at its disposal to help brands design new entertainment experiences, a model for which Fever charges a per-user fee, already accounting for 20% of its revenues.

Here we would highlight, for example, the escape room of "La casa de papel", a co-production between Fever, Atresmedia and Enigma Express which is followed by more than 80,000 people.

The company has a presence in Spain, London, New York, Los Angeles, Paris and Lisbon and generates 70% of its business outside Spain. With 150 employees, it actively manages technology and the data analysis to offer personalised recommendations for events and generate online content for its media network.

Fever and its international expansion

It has recently closed a financing round from 35M$led by the Japanese giant Rakutenbut which also involved shareholders of the company and previous investors such as Atresmedia and Accel Partners.


The company, which has raised more than 70M$ to date, will use this latest funding to consolidate its growth in current markets and boost its international expansion, landing every two to three months in major European and US cities, as well as investing in its engineering and technology development team.
