Fast Track innovation is an initiative within the framework of H2020 that provides funding for near-market, business-driven projects. Proposals can be framed in any technological area as long as they foster transdisciplinary and cross-sectoral cooperation. This initiative started in 2015 with 3 cut-off dates and is expected to have three more cut-off dates in 2016: March, June and October, with a budget of €100M.

Do you think you can participate?

Proposals for funding must be submitted by consortia of between three and five legal entities established in at least three EU Member States or countries associated to Horizon 2020, and funded actions must be business-driven, as they are intended to give a final push to promising innovation ideas before they enter the market.

Between the April and September 2015 calls, 31 projects have been funded, 11 of these projects have had Spanish participation and four of them have been led by Spanish companies. Among the sectors in which the beneficiary companies are framed we find mainly health, industrial and energy companies.

Fagor has led a project, Core 4.0, in which it has also participated. Tecnalia and partners from Germany and France to develop a HPDC technology for the production of aluminium engine casing. The project has received a grant of €2,999,493.63.

Gogoa Mobility Robots is the other company that has led a project. Gogoa Mobility is a company from Guipuzcoa that has been designing and manufacturing robotic systems (exoskeletons) to assist mobility and rehabilitation of injuries for just 6 months. The project, which has been endowed with €1,514,527.50, has also involved the state agency Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, a French company and a Spanish company, FAAR Industry and an Italian company fondazione santa lucia. The project aims to develop a skeleton for the rehabilitation of brain damage and/or spinal cord injury patients.

Bioblueacts as a catalyst, promoter and facilitator of the establishment of commercial and joint research relationships between Spanish companies and research centres and their counterparts around the world. It has led the RichWater project, which aims to capitalise on the TREAT&USE system, a very promising result of another successful FP7 project that sought to safely reuse reclaimed water and the nutrients it contains in agricultural applications. In TREAT&USE, a prototype capable of treating about 40m3 of water per day was designed and implemented on a small scale in a tomato plantation in southern Spain. Through this system, the wastewater is treated and becomes reclaimed water, completely free of pathogens but retaining essential nutrients for agriculture that are also used in this way. Thus, through irrigation with this reclaimed water, the use of fertilisers is avoided and production costs are significantly reduced.

Technology Data Analytics
for M&A
Advanced data anlytics is a weapon". Intelfin is an artificial intelligence tool we use for investing and creating value in SMEs through competitive analytics and the enterprise environment.

IntelFin consists of a cognitive system, which, through the application of advanced analytical technologies, facilitates the automation of investment and financing decisions in the field of non-listed companies and especially SMEs in high-growth sectors.

The information related to these companies is characterized by their lack of transparency and heterogeneity; thus, it is necessary to develop an advanced analysis which is as much predictive as prescriptive and is developed in a natural language custom, suitable to obtain greater clarity and knowledge of the investment scope.

The IntelFin system focuses especially on analyzing the variables that define and influence the competitive environment of a sector and the positioning of a company, analyzing their influence on future value creation. Therefore, IntelFin supports strategic decision-making to senior management by resolving questions such as:

¿What are my competitors' priorities, strategies and expansion plans? Who's my competition? Which competitor is most likely to grow at a higher rate?
Which areas of activity/business models will receive the most investment? Which sectors are most attractive to investors?
Which companies are going to experience the most growth in the near future? Which companies are most likely to receive investment or be acquired?
Training Methodology
We have developed training programs in an innovative set-up which guarantees our teams the acquisition of technical competences both in the field of corporate finance and in the field of psychology, that is much needed when it comes to negotiation processes.
