Restb.ai, specialising in image recognition-based business solutions, has received a €1.2M investment to support its expansion. The round was backed by Lanta Capital, Capitana Venture Partners, Athos Capital and Tandem Capital and US investor Court Westcott LLC.

Es una empresa catalana, fundada en 2015, que ha creado un sistema inteligente para reconocer fotos no apropiadas en internet a través de la tecnología “deep learning”. Este clasificador inteligente tiene capacidad para analizar e identificar unos 12 millones de imágenes al día.

El sistema de la compañía permite que cada empresa cree y ajuste su propio clasificador a sus necesidades específicas, en este caso, contenido socialmente sensible, de manera que pueda categorizar y descartar al momento aquellas que no correspondan a su modelo de negocio, ha explicado Esteban.
Esta  supone la primera ronda de inversión de la empresa, que nació gracias a fondos propios y un crédito de Enisa. Actualmente, la empresa emplea a 11 personas y entre sus clientes encontramos portales inmobiliarios, de coches o cualquiera que quiera bloquear contenidos inadecuados.

La ronda se utilizará para seguir el desarrollo del producto y posibilitar la apretura a nuevos mercados geográficos. Actualmente, la compañía  está negociando con varios de los principales portales globales de "dating" para aplicar su sistema en modalidad SaaS (Software as a Service).
