Sales Layer is a Valencian technology startup specialising in PIM (Product Information Management) founded by entrepreneurs Álvaro Verdoy (CEO) and Ibán Borrás (CTO).
It is an intelligent catalogue management platform that helps retailers and industrial companies in omnichannel product management and marketing on any sales platform. This technology analyses available data and performs advanced content creation automation to centralise and synchronise products across all sales and communication channels.
Based in Castellón (Valencia), the startup has a team of eight people that it plans to increase its commercial strength and international reach. Alongside the founders, the management team is completed by Chandhu Nair and David Gobert-Cézanne.
Sales Layer already has reference clients in Spain, USA, UK, South Africa and Chile such as, among others, Porcelanosa, Reebok, Columbia or Le Coq Sportif.
Sales Layer has closed its second round of investment, raising €1.2M, in order to carry out its international growth and development plans. The venture capital is Swanlaab Venture Factorythe Spanish-Israeli group with offices in Madrid and Tel Aviv, has led this round together with Global Omnium which, with this investment, further strengthens its presence in the technology industry.
In 2013, the Valencian company made a first round of funding led by the open innovation platform Plug and Play, which has successful projects such as Paypal and Dropbox. At that time, Sales Layer already had the support of ENISA, a public institution that supports entrepreneurship, IVACE (Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness), the Business Angel René de Jong and Plug and Play itself.
