The group Imaweb / IDFone of the largest developers of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Dealer Management Systems (DMS) solutions for the automotive industry in Europe, has acquired Vigo-based Vigo, Spain. Serinfer Servicios Informáticos S.Lone of the divisions of the software segment of the Alvariño Group.
The firm announced the integration of the Spanish developer, distributor and supplier of Serauto, a management system for car dealerships.
The operation has been backed by the fund Providence Partners through its subsidiary Providence Strategic Growth. Private equity fund dedicated to growth investments in small and medium-sized software and technology services companies.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Imaweb / Datafirst-I'Car Systems group is a leading developer of CRM and DMS solutions for the automotive sector in Europe.
The company emerged from the merger of Imaweb, a Spanish company dedicated to the development of global customer management solutions for sales, marketing and after-sales, and DATAFIRST-I'Car Systems, a French software development company for car manufacturers, distribution groups and dealers.
From its original activity in the automotive sector, the Alvariño Group has been consolidating for 75 years a business strategy that has diversified its presence in different areas of industry and services. The family Group, now in the hands of the third generation, has companies positioned in activities as diverse as energy efficiency, the ICT industry, insurance, distribution and real estate, which have been added to its original branch of activity in the automotive sector.
For its part, Serinfer, which until now was part of the Alvariño Group, develops a range of sophisticated products to meet the evolving needs of car dealers. The flagship of its offering is Serauto, a complete DMS solution that works in a modular way and can also be integrated into the existing technology of any dealership or workshop. Serauto is comprised of functions aimed at inventory management, improving customer loyalty and service quality, and cloud computing.
