El venture capital en «empresas de predicción»
Today, companies not only need to know what happened in the past to understand the present, but also to anticipate the needs of their customers. The "Predictive Enterprise" involves the use of advanced technological tools that make it possible to move from product-focused to customer-focused companies. These types of companies, which are currently growing considerably, have applications in numerous sectors of activity and have received great support from the venture capital isIn 2013 and so far in 2014 alone, this sector has achieved $531M.

Sectors of activity to which "Forecasting" applies

The use of data to predict what will happen in the future is used in a wide variety of sectors.

The Software applied to data analysis in companies is the sector in which most operations have been carried out (16), reaching a total of $160M in 2013 and the first four months of 2014. Companies that have received the most funding

Among the "forecasting companies" that have received the most funding is the American company  Reflexis workforceReflexis workforce, software that predicts work in the company and helps to organise agendas and set goals. Reflexis workforce has won 4 rounds of fundingThe last round was in January 2014, for an undisclosed amount. Reflexis workforce has raised more than $44.40M with the rounds raised.

Predixion Predixion, designs a platform for business analysts and other non-technical users to enable broader adoption of predictive analytics and decision making. Predixion has received $31.80M from venture capital in 4 rounds, the last of which raised $21M in July 2013.

Zettics Zettics, a leader in big data analytics that provides a 360° view of the enterprise, allowing to predict customers, sales, risks. Zettics, has received 4 rounds of funding totalling $25.80M.
