Crowd equity platforms in Spain are growing, in 2013 they represented 20.7% of crowdfunding platforms and this year several companies have raised a significant amount of money thanks to this modality. In addition, foreign platforms have decided to come to Spain.

Main crowd equity platforms in Spain

INVEREM is a platform created after detecting by its promoters that the need for funding is the main cause of the current situation. Since its creation, they have raised €3,494,150 in funding thanks to the contribution of 1,731 investors.

INVESTMENT PARTNERS, Spanish company created in 2010, according to them it is the first crowdequity platform in the world. Since its beginnings, it has not stopped growing and is currently present in 19 different countries, and has received several awards, the last one being the European Business Award 2014.

THE CROWD ANGELplatform promoted by Inveready that allows online investment in technology-based startups with the rigour and solidity of an Venture Capitalhas so far raised €1,940,000 from 3,022 registered investors.

 

Crowd equity transactions of note

The trendy startup Madaísh has achieved 205.000€ by small investors who, by contributing a minimum amount of €5,000, become partners in the company, through investment partners.

Also this year 2014,  Argos Global, a technological solution applied to the field of Security Biometrics, received 200.000 € in 24 hours, in a crowdequity round led by the investment club Upcelerawhich belongs to the investor-partner group.

Emergence of foreign crowdequity platforms in Spain

Thanks to the positive impact of the law regulating crowdfunding, in the last year several foreign crowd equity companies have decided to settle in Spain. The first to land was FundedByMeEurope's fastest growing crowdfunding platform (equity and reward) in Europe.

We also highlight Crowdcube for being Europe's leading equity crowdfunding platform which, since its founding in the UK in 2011, has accumulated more than 83,000 registered investors.
