El sector alimentación activo en adquisiciones en Febrero 2015

Febrero de 2015 ha sido un mes muy activo en el sector de la alimentación. Se han cerrado 10 operaciones de compra-venta. En el 2014 registró un total de 60 fusiones y adquisiciones y en enero del 2015 fue el segundo sector más activo en número de operaciones según el estudio de Logic-fin. Entre las compras realizadas destaca la compra de La Nevera Roja por parte de Food Panda por € 80M.

Perfil de los inversores

De las 10 operaciones realizadas 7 han tenido como protagonista corporaciones que querían expandirse, bien para llegar a mercados geográficos en los que no estaban presente, como es el caso de la Francesa Sibell, o bien para aumentar o reforzar su cartera de productos o servicios  como Bardinet.

Sibell, empresa Francesa líder en el mercado de patatas chips ha comprado la Alavesa de snacks Celigüeta.

Bardinet, empresa de bebidas espirituosas ha comprado por €8M el 90 % de la bodega Mont Marçal Vinícola. Bardinet refuerza con esta compra su actividad en el negocio de los cavas y vinos, en los que ya estaba presente con elaborados procedentes de su finca de Montsarra.

Además 3 de las operaciones han tenido como inversores a fondos de capital riesgo, 2 de estos Broadbill y Carlyle, extranjeros. Broadbill, con sede en Nueva York ha adquirido el 3,96% de Pescanova y Carlyle ha adquirido los embutidos Palacios.

El sector de las bebidas es en el que más operaciones se han realizado (3), todas ellas han tenido como inversor una corporación que ya estaba en el sector de las bebidas, aunque su principal actividad no es la misma que la actividad de la empresa comprada.

Así, a parte de la antes ya mencionada Bardinet, Osborne ha comprado Ginebra Bordes. Hijos de Rivera, empresa cervecera que se encuentra en el top 10 de empresas de bebidas en España, ha comprado Aguas del Pilar.

“Hijos de Rivera ya contaba con 2 manantiales, Cabreiroá en Ourense, y Agua de Cuevas en Asturias, pero la adquisición de Aguas del Pilar en Andalucía le permite extenderse hacia el sur” comenta Diego Gutierrez de ABRA INVEST.
