Ferrovial y Renault crean Zity, el tercer operador de Carsharing eléctrico de Madrid

Renault y Ferrovial han anunciado la creación de su empresa conjunta Zity de carsharing (coche compartido) que tienen previsto poner en marcha este mes. Este será el tercer servicio de carsharing que operará en Madrid, competencia directa de Car2go y Emov, que actualmente copan el mercado del alquiler de vehículos por minutos en la capital.

Zity es el resultado de una joint venture anunciada en septiembre por la automovilística francesa y la empresa de construcción y servicios liderada por Rafael del Pino. Este nuevo servicio de movilidad contará con una flota de 500 vehículos eléctricos Renault Zoe, que tienen una autonomía homologada de 400 kilómetros y disponen de 5 plazas. Para la prueba piloto se utilizarán 100 vehículos, que serán conducidos por los trabajadores de Ferrovial y Renault.

Aunque todavía se desconocen precios y fecha exacta de inicio de operaciones, sabemos que Zity podrá operar por una zona de 75 kilómetros cuadrados que abarca la almendra central de la M-30, y contará con dos bases de carga, ubicadas en el norte y en el este de Madrid. Los usuarios pueden ya pre-registrarse en zitycar.es y acceder a la plataforma; los 5.000 primeros dispondrán de un código promocional para disfrutar del servicio de forma gratuita los primeros 20 minutos.

Según estudios de la propia empresa, en 2030 más del 20 % de los desplazamientos en las ciudades se realizarán en servicios de movilidad compartida.
