El capital Riesgo en el sector turístico: Springwater y Inveready.

El capital Riesgo está activo en el sector turístico. Si recientemente comentábamos que el grupo Hotusa había decidido crear un fondo para  startups tecnológicas e innovadoras centradas en el ámbito hotelero y turístico, en este post os comentamos las operaciones que se han realizado en el sector recientemente.

Springwater amplia capital en Wamos

El fondo Springwater ha realizado  una ampliación de capital de hasta €2,5 M en Wamos, dejando fuera de juego a Gowai, que tenía un 20% de la empresa y ha decidido no acudir a la ampliación.

La operación aumenta la propiedad de  Springwater en la sociedad hasta un 81%, mientras que Royal Caribbean mantiene su propiedad del 19% en Wamos.

En 2014, el grupo turístico Wamos, que aglutina dos turoperadores (Wamos Tours y Wamos Circuitos), una línea aérea (Wamos Air) y la red de agencia de Nautalia Viajes, facturó casi €500 M.

 

Hundredrooms recibe €1M de inversión

Inveready ha liderado una ronda de financiación de €1M  en Hundredrooms, un metabuscador de alquiler vacacional, centrado principalmente en  agregar la oferta de viviendas gestionadas por particulares.

A la ronda también han acudido Bankinter Capital Riesgo, Media Digital Ventures, varios de los socios actuales. Además Hundredrooms también ha conseguido financiación pública. 

 

Pontegadea desinvierte en  Occidental Hoteles a favor de Barceló

Pontegeada ha salido de la cadena hotelera Occidental Hoteles tras vender el 23.63% que ostentaba a Grupo Barceló, que también ha adquirido las participaciones en manos de los accionistas minoritarios, alcanzando así el 42,5% del capital.

“Además Barceló Corporación Empresarial ha suscrito con el BBVA un acuerdo para adquirir el 57,5% del capital de Occidental Hoteles Management que no controla, con lo que el grupo turístico mallorquín, que ostenta actualmente el 42,5% de la hotelera pasará a ser el único propietario de la compañía” comenta Diego Gutierrez de Abra-Invest.

Tras esta operación el objetivo del grupo Barceló es hacerse con el 100% de Occidental Hoteles para reforzar su posición en el Caribe, con esta inversión Barceló entra en Colombia, Arabe y Haití y aumenta sus activos en la Republica Dominicana, México y Costa Rica.
