Doppli Connect recibe 250 mil euros en financiación

BStartup Health, el programa dedicado a startups de salud de Banco Sabadell, ha apostado por Doppli Connect, compañía tecnológica del sector médico. La startup ha ideado el primer dispositivo del mercado que detecta y monitoriza automáticamente las contracciones y el latido fetal del bebé sin necesidad de entrenamiento médico previo.

Tras su paso por la aceleradora Lanzadera, la compañía fundada por el arquitecto Roberto García y el Ingeniero Biomédico Dr. Jose Alberola-Rubio ha desarrollado toda la investigación en el Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria La Fe de Valencia.

BStartup participará en una ronda de inversión en la startup que alcanzará los 250.000 euros.

 Un producto innovador por parte de Doppli Connect

Doppli Connect es una startup alicantina dedicada al MedTech - desarrollo tecnológico para el sector médico-.

Su innovadora tecnología, validada en más de 200 embarazadas, permite detectar el latido del bebé gracias a sus sensores inteligentes, sin necesidad de geles, por lo que se puede utilizar en cualquier momento y lugar. El dispositivo envía de forma automática los datos por bluetooth a un smartphone a través de la app y su vez a la plataforma médica donde serán revisados por personal médico especializado. En caso de existir algún problema, se pondrán en contacto de forma proactiva con la embarazada.

Cada año hay 7 millones de embarazos en la Unión Europa, 4,3 millones en EEUU y 10,1 millones en Latinoamérica. La incidencia de nacimientos prematuros y abortos es del 8,3% globalmente con un coste total para el sistema de 35,8 billones de euros. Estiman que Doppli, con su tecnología, podría reducir el 50% de estas complicaciones.

La operación

Doppli es una de las tres seleccionadas de la II convocatoria para invertir en startups de salud que lanzó el programa BStartup. El pasado 20 de mayo se cerró la III Convocatoria a la que se han presentado 146 candidaturas que se están analizando.

La inversión en la startup ascenderá hasta los 250.000 euros y tal como comenta Roberto García, esta inversión irá destinada a la integración de la tecnología en un sustrato textil, a certificaciones médicas y patentes, a ampliación de equipo y a la fabricación de las primeras unidades, que estarán en el mercado a finales de verano de 2021.
