Squared Capital vende T-Solar a Cubico

Squared Capital es un administrador de inversiones en infraestructura global independiente que se enfoca en energía, servicios públicos, telecomunicaciones y transporte en América del Norte, Europa y determinadas economías de alto crecimiento. La Firma tiene oficinas en Miami, Nueva York, Houston, Londres, Nueva Delhi, Hong Kong y Singapur. El 9 de noviembre de 2016 Squared Capital adquirió Grupo T-Solar por 113 millones de euros.  

Grupo T-Solar es una empresa líder en la producción de energías renovables y en la gestión de activos. Cuenta con un historial de desarrollo y operación de 53 plantas instaladas en España, Italia, Perú, Japón, USA e India. La compañía se centra en el mercado europeo con el 92 por ciento de sus activos en España e Italia. Incluyendo las recientes desinversiones en Japón y Estados Unidos, Grupo T-Solar ha gestionado más de 1.900 millones de euros en activos renovables. 

El pasado 15 de diciembre, Squared Capital ha vendido T-Solar a Cubico por 1.500 millones. Cubico Sustainable Investments es un inversor líder y propietario y operador a largo plazo de proyectos globales de energía renovable, la fuente de energía más rápida, en América, Europa y Oceanía. Creada en 2015, la compañía es propiedad conjunta del Ontario Teachers, Pension Plan y PSP Investments. 

Esta importante adquisición por parte de Cubico, se ha realizado con el objetivo de duplica su cartera en España y conviertes en uno de los mayores propietarios independientes de proyectos de energía renovable en la Península Ibérica, con más de 500 MW en operación.
