Los VC USA han levantado un 14% menos fondos en el 1Q 2013

Según Reuters, la recaudación de fondos por las firmas de capital riesgo cayó un 14 por ciento en términos de dólares a 4,05 mil millones dólares en el primer trimestre 2013, marcando un débil inicio de una industria que está luchando ante las preocupaciones de los inversores por sus retornos débiles.

Se reduce el numero de fondos que levantan capital más que el importe: de 53 a 35.

Sólo 35 fondos han  recaudado capital, en comparación con 53 el año anterior. Ese es el número más pequeño de la recaudación de fondos de dinero desde finales de 2003, según NVCA.

El rendimiento del VC ha sido inferior al del mercado de valores

Los retornos para el capital de riesgo en general, han sido de inferior rendimiento al del mercado de valores. Para el período de diez años que terminó el 30 de septiembre, el última estudio disponible, las empresas devolvieron un 6,1 por ciento, frente al 10,3 por ciento en el índice Nasdaq compuesto, según la consultora Cambridge Associates.

2- Third Rock Ventures siguió con un fondo de $ 516 millones

3-  Spark Capital elevó un fondo de $ 450 millones.
