FoodCheri, levanta €6M en una ronda liderada por un fondo español, ¿Qué más operaciones ha habido en el sector FoodTech este inicio de curso?

FoodChéri, restaurante virtual con cocina propia que elabora comidas frescas y saludables para su reparto a domicilio en todo París, acaba de cerrar su segunda ronda de financiación por valor de € 6 M. El fondo de capital riesgo español Samaipata Ventures ha participado en la ronda.

Samaipata Ventures es un nuevo fondo de venture capital, que está capitaneado por un hombre con amplia experiencia en el sector foodtech: José del Barrio el fundador y ex-Consejero Delegado de La Nevera Roja. Entre las inversiones que ha realizado hasta el momento, además de la Nevera Roja, se encuentran empresas como Deporvillage o Cornerjob.

En la ronda además también han participado grandes fondos europeos de venture capital como 360 Capital Partners, Breega Capital y Ambrosia Investments. Todos los inversores implicados cuentan con experiencia en la industria del FoodTech  y han apostado por este nuevo modelo de negocio revolucionario que permite llevar a domicilio comidas frescas y de fácil conservación elaboradas por un equipo de chefs profesionales, que solo requieren de un toque de microondas o de sartén para su consumo. 

La ronda se utilizará para ampliar el negocio de FoodChéri a otras áreas dentro de la región de París, para después lanzar su expansión a otros países de Europa, entre ellos España.

Este més de Septiembre hemos detectado varias empresas que han hecho rondas. Alguna de ellas como FreshDirect, por un importe baste elevado, $189M. El secreto del éxito de esta empresa es que no es simplemente un supermercado online, si no que ofrece productos de alta calidad a precios menores.

Además tambíen hemos detectado varias compras, como la realizada por una empresa China, Brifgt Food, que ha comprado el 50% de una plataforma exportadora de carne en Nueva Zelanda, por un precio de 191M.
