Time for divestitures for private equity in Spain: Euskaltel, Boomerang and Polibol

After several years of crisis in which the lack of financing made it impossible to complete buyout operations, last year foreign investors began to regain confidence in Spain and started to divest, with significant capital gains for the investors involved.
According to the report The Timing of Divestments in Private Equity in Spain, prepared by WebcapitalRiesgo, the volume disinvested in 2014, at cost price, amounted to €4,769M, exceeding for the first time in this century the volume invested in the year (€3,465M). Trilantic and Investindustrial leave Euskaltel

Euskaltel was floated on 1 July with 63% of its capital, at a price of €9.5 per share.

Trilantic Capital Partners e InvestIndustrial who held 48% of the company have sold their shares for €578M each, almost triple what they paid in 2012. In addition to this €578M, they have also received €99M from the extraordinary dividend.

3i has sold the 40% it held at Boomerang a Lagardére, obtaining a capital gain of 62% on its book value.
