DELSOL and Billin software acquired by TeamSystem

IT companies

On 17 February, TeamSystem, the Italian group controlled by US private equity Hellman & Friedmanannounced the acquisition of two Spanish IT companies. First, it announced the purchase of 100% of the capital of the Spanish company based in Jaén, Software DELSOL. However, TeamSystem's international expansion did not stop there. On the same day, it announced the purchase of 59.6% of the Madrid-based company Billin with the possibility of acquiring 100% of its capital. To date, neither of these two acquisitions has been announced.

TeamSystem is a group with more than 30 years of experience providing management software and training services to companies, commercial agents and lawyers, among others. Such is its leadership at European level that it has 1.3 million customers and revenues in the financial year 2019 of 418 million euros.

Federico Leproux, CEO of TeamSystems, says that these acquisitions are the first step towards the international projection that TeamSystems is working on every day, with the aim of offering high-tech products to support the digital transformation of SMEs and professionals abroad.

Software DELSOL is a company dedicated to the development of invoicing, accounting and labour software for SMEs with almost 200 employees and more than 30,000 customers. Billin, on the other hand, provides services to companies through the development of an online application that integrates and controls the entire invoicing cycle. Among Billin's shareholders were the venture capital firms KFund and Kibo Ventures.

ID Grup acquired by Claranet

The last 3 sales of Spanish IT companies

On 11 March, the purchase of one of the Spanish IT companies par excellence, ID Grup, a Catalan company providing cloud management and IT infrastructure services, by Claranet, a British technology provider, was made public for an amount that has not yet been made public by either party.

Claranet, headquartered in London and with 2,500 employees in 10 countries, has been providing expert technology services in cloud, cybersecurity and connectivity for more than 20 years, with a special focus on carrying out profitable projects with productive and connected teams. It has an average annual revenue of 460 million euros and a client portfolio of 6,500 customers, among which Skoda, Orange and Volotea stand out as the best known. This has made the group the leading IT managed services provider in Europe.

In May 2017 Private Equity Tikehau Capital made an investment of £80 million. Through the capital injection Claranet has made a total of 6 acquisitions since then, including ID Grup, expanding its international market presence to North America and strengthening its presence in Europe.

Therefore, ID Grup perfectly complements Claranet as it provides Cloud & Data Center, Digital Workplace, IT Managed Services and Data & A.I. services.

As the CEO of the Spanish company, Sergi Aguilar, says:

"This integration will mean an increase in scale and allow us to increase the pace of innovation, efficiency and quality that our customers are accustomed to".

The last 3 sales of Spanish IT companies

As the latest acquisition of Spanish IT companies, we have the acquisition of Arktec by the French company GRAITEC at the end of this month. The amount for which the purchase was agreed on 3 March has not yet been announced, although what can be said is that both Antonio Fernández, Managing Director and Founding Partner of ARKTEC, and Manuel Liedot, CEO of GRAITEC, are very satisfied with the process and its closing.

Arktec, for its part, provides structural calculation and project management software services for AEC, with thousands of clients in Spain, Portugal and Latin America, which caught Lideot's attention. Thanks to the presence of the Spanish company in Latin America, GRAITEC will have the opportunity to increase its activity in that geography where they already offer Manufacturing solutions, one of the four pillars of their offer (simulation, creation, manufacturing and management).

for M&A
Advanced data anlytics is a weapon". Intelfin is an artificial intelligence tool we use for investing and creating value in SMEs through competitive analytics and the enterprise environment.

IntelFin consists of a cognitive system, which, through the application of advanced analytical technologies, facilitates the automation of investment and financing decisions in the field of non-listed companies and especially SMEs in high-growth sectors.

The information related to these companies is characterized by their lack of transparency and heterogeneity; thus, it is necessary to develop an advanced analysis which is as much predictive as prescriptive and is developed in a natural language custom, suitable to obtain greater clarity and knowledge of the investment scope.

The IntelFin system focuses especially on analyzing the variables that define and influence the competitive environment of a sector and the positioning of a company, analyzing their influence on future value creation. Therefore, IntelFin supports strategic decision-making to senior management by resolving questions such as:

¿What are my competitors' priorities, strategies and expansion plans? Who's my competition? Which competitor is most likely to grow at a higher rate?
Which areas of activity/business models will receive the most investment? Which sectors are most attractive to investors?
Which companies are going to experience the most growth in the near future? Which companies are most likely to receive investment or be acquired?
