SaaS, short for Software as a Service, is a software distribution model in which a provider hosts both the company's software and its data and makes them available via the Internet. This implies that the software used by the company is not present in the company itself, but that the provider takes care of thehostingThe system's management, updates and maintenance are also carried out in the cloud.

As mentioned above, Stripe, which is a development-oriented commercial company that helps small and large businesses to accept online and mobile payments, completed a Series G funding round on 16/04/2020. This was the largest of this year so far, $600 million, taking place on the late stage of the company. 

Sharework was the last company to execute a round. It closed on Tuesday the 9th and raised 3.1 million euros. Sharework is a platform SaaS which connects CRMs (Customer Relationship Management) with each other to help companies identify and maximise synergies and with their business partners. Still a very young company, this round was conducted at the early stage of the project. seed.  

Funding round of Aircall 

Aircall's round of financing, led by DTPCwith the participation of new investors Swisscom and Adam Streetas well as existing ones Balderton CapitalDraper EspriteFounders and NextWorldIt was made on 27/05/2020 and was, like Stripe's, on the late stage of the company. Aircall is a French company that focuses on cloud-based call centre software that integrates with CRM, productivity and helpdesk tools. 

The Paris-based company wants to replace outdated telephone systems with an integrated voice platform, bringing business telecommunications to the cloud. The service is used by 5,000 companies around the world, 3,000 of which are based in Europe, such as NatwestSpareroomMindful ChefGlovo and Soldo.
