financing round Companies working in B2B have several challenges to face in order to reach their audience, getting leads is more difficult than in B2C due to the lower volume of customers and the complexity of reaching the target. More and more companies are taking advantage of these difficulties to offer services aimed at increasing leads. Some of them have received funding from the venture capital is in 2013.

Como vemos en los gráficos anteriores, el importe de las rondas de financiación que han recibido las empresas del sector varía mucho de una empresa a otra. Así encontramos empresas  que han participado en rondas más pequeñas como   Busy Event, que organizan eventos  a través de la nube y monitorizan todas las interacciones que se producen en los eventos. Esta empresa fue creada en 2006 y ha recibido 3 rondas de financiación desde su creación, todas ellas rondas por importes pequeños, la última de ellas la realizó este Enero de  2014 por $295k.

Otras empresas como Gainsight,  han recibido cantidades mayores , Gainsight  empresa de software que utiliza el big data para gestionar de manera proactiva la retención, reducir la rotación inesperada e identificar oportunidades de venta  en las empresas B2B a través de los datos de ventas , registros de uso , ticket de soporte e.t.c.  Gainsight, ha recibido 4 rondas de financiación, la última de ellas en marzo de 2014, una ronda de $21.40M, en la que han participado Summit Partners, Bain Capital Ventures and  Battery Ventures .

Dentro de los investors encontramos tanto inversores que solamente invierten en fases iniciales como Charles River e inversores que invierten en todo tipo de etapas como Battery Ventures. La mayoría de los inversores están enfocados al sector de la tecnología.

En el último año también se han realizado varias adquisiciones en el sector, como la compra realizada por Callidus Software de LeadRocket, plataforma de inbound Marketing para atraer y fidelizar clientes.

On the other hand, Adobe bought Neolane el pasado mes de Julio de 2013 por USD 600M. Nelane Neolane integra datos de marketing online y offline en toda la empresa y realiza una segmentación robusta de las audiencias entregando mensajes de marketing a través de múltiples canales.
