Taldewhich celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, is a private venture capital management group in Spain. Founded in 1976, it has participated in more than 150 investment projects which it has supported both in their initial stages and in their consolidation and expansion phase, and in industrial and service sectors.
Recently, it has invested in the company Rotecnaa world leader in the design, production and marketing of plastic products mainly applied to equipment for pig farms. With more than 25 years in the market, this company is starting a growth plan with the launch of new products and business lines.
Deltalab is one of Europe's leading companies in the design and manufacture of single-use laboratory products such as tubes, swabs, tips, pipettes and containers. Talde had already participated in Deltalab in 2009 and now wants to continue supporting its expansion. In the period 2007-2015 the company has almost doubled its turnover from €18.8M to €33.2M.
In July Basque Fund invested in ISETIC Technology, a technology startup that was created in 2014, thanks to the Basque Government's entrepreneurship grants through the SPRI Group, with the aim of responding to the new needs of Industry 4.o. Isetic's services include monitoring, management and automation, related to ICT systems, advanced industrial manufacturing processes (IIoT), machinery and next-generation "Things" (IoT) and Smart Cities.
Another investee of the same fund this year is Intelligent Parking, dedicated to parking management, both for cars and bicycles, and access control for homes, accommodation and offices.
Inteliigent Delivery has also received €300,000 through the Basque fund. This company is dedicated to providing an innovative Hapiick parcel service, which offers delivery through automated terminals and already has 1,500 users.
In this first half of the year we have also met Basque companies, which started a few years ago with the support of Basque funds and which have now received larger rounds and have expanded internationally.
Ticketbit is a clear example. The online ticketing company closed a round in 2009 in which Seed Capital Bizkaia participated. After closing larger rounds of up to €5M over the next 5 years, in 2016 it was sold to the giant Ebay for a price of $165M.
Another success story is Enigmedia, a young cybersecurity company that started out with a stake held by Seed Guipuzkoa and thanks to the Basque Government's entrepreneurship grants and has just closed a €1.5M round led by Alma Mundi Innvierte Fund.
