Italian group Comdata, which was bought in 2015 by private equity firm Carlyle, has once again gone on a buying spree. Following buyouts Digitex in Spain and LatAm and Win in Turkey. It buys again a Spanish company, Overtop, and enters the French market with the purchase of Izium's shares in the main French CRM companies.

The Comdata Group, headquartered in Italy, is a leading provider of CRM Business Process Outsourcing in Europe and Latin America. At the end of 2015 it was acquired by private equity firm Carlyle. Since then, the fund is putting a lot of effort in creating a leading European BPO. Overtop, operates in the CRM BPO sector in Spain (Catalonia). Founded in 2007, it provides inbound and outbound customer care and back office services to multinational and national clients in the banking, insurance, energy and services sectors. The group currently employs around 400 people and had a turnover of €6M in 2015.
This acquisition allows Comdata to increase its presence in Spain, especially in Catalonia, where Overtop has a strong presence. In addition, the acquisition also allows Comdata to increase its client portfolio with national banks, insurance companies and multinational clients, further diversifying revenues in Spain with these industries.
On the purchase of Izium's shares in French BPO companies
Izum is a French company specialised in CRM outsourcing with a turnover of close to 200 million euros and is active in the French domestic market with onshore and offshore operations in Morocco and Madagascar, as well as in BCust, Colorado Conseil and CMS.
Comdata will buy Izium's shares in B2S, BCust, Colorado Conseil and CMS.
