Global EducationAunque en los últimos años se han realizado varias fusiones y adquisiciones en el sector de la educación y formación en España, la tendencia está decreciendo,  en este año 2014 tan solo se ha realizado una operación.

Operaciones en empresas muy  diversas dentro del mismo sector

Se han realizado operaciones en sectores muy diversos dentro del ámbito de la formación, así ha habido universidades que han sido protagonistas de adquisiciones, pero también se han realizado operaciones en colegios, empresas que dan formación a los trabajadores y empresas que se dedican a enseñar una determinada habilidad.

Grupo planeta compra Valencian International University

En lo que llevamos de año 2014, tan solo se ha realizado una operación, la compra del 70% de Valencian International University by grupo Planeta por un importe de €4M, con el objetivo de completar la oferta de la División de Formación del Grupo Planeta en el ámbito universitario.

“Dentro del sector de la formación, las universidades orientadas al mundo online son el nicho de actividad que más crecimiento están experimentando sobre todo orientada a profesionales que quieren o necesitan aumentar su formación para mejorar su posibilidades de desarrollo profesional. Es la opción más flexible y generalmente también más económica. Referencias de este sector son la UNIR y la UOC” analiza Diego Gutierrez experto de financiación alternativa en ABRA INVEST.

Pero esta no ha sido la única procurement que se ha realizado en el ámbito universitario, en los años anteriores también ha habido varias operaciones con el mismo objetivo, expandir su negocio internacionalmente dando servicio a un mercado geográfico más amplio, que les permita competir con las otras empresas del sector.

Inversores extranjeros compran en España

Entre las operaciones de procurement realizadas en los últimos años hay varias que tienen como protagonistas a compradores extranjeros, que ven en las empresas españolas una oportunidad para la expansión internacional de su negocio, como la compra de  la escuela barcelonesa FD Moda por el centro canadiense LaSalle en 2013.
